Learn the Dances
"We can teach you to dance so that anyone will want to be your partner."
Finding out what type of dancer you would like to become and what dances you would like to learn helps you progress quickly. To most people, dancing is moving to the music, and there is a dance for every type of music. At Wilson's Dancesport, we specialize in all of the dances that you would dance with a partner, from Foxtrot to Swing, Salsa to Tango and everything in between.

Theatre Arts
Compulsory - Couples must compete to the same music selection
Solo Exhibition - Couples must compete using music of their own.
Social Dance scenes, many of which also have competitions, include Salsa, Argentine Tango, Swing/Rockabilly, Lindy Hop/Charleston/Shag, Country/Western, and Blues/West Coast Swing.
These scenes specialize in a particular music, and so they specialize in particular dances. The advantage is that almost everyone at these events knows the primary two dances, and the styling can become radical and unique. The disadvantage is that this specialization limits their ability to dance at a variety of locations or with a variety of partners.
